Thousands Masked Runners Flooded Cyberjaya

CYBERJAYA, 20 December 2015 – After the successful Larian Sehati Sejiwa in August, MYNIC has bring another heart pumping running event to set the streets ablaze again. This time in the Center of Cyberjaya.

The exciting and vibrant year end event is called myBuddies Run, a part of MYNIC continuous effort in supporting the nation building initiatives and encouraging online lifestyle.

It was flagged off by Hasnul Fadhly Hasan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MYNIC at Persiaran Flora, Cyberjaya.

Bringing a custom-designed masked fun run spanning across 3km, 5km and 10km race to the cityscape, more than 5,000 runners took on a track filled with surprising and enjoyable elements where up to RM25,000 cash prizes are offered by the organizer. In addition, all runners are entitled to participate in lucky draw with attractive prizes worth RM100,000 include two (2) Perodua Axia, three(3) motorcycles and five (5) branded bicycles.

Cyberjaya is the choice for myBuddies Run due to its beautifully planned, well designed infrastructures and healthy environment.

Speaking on the occasion, Hasnul said “Nowadays, running event was a fusion of fitness activity together with fun element. myBuddies Run has transcended its sporting nature to become one of the most anticipated healthy lifestyle events for Malaysian”.

Upon completing the run, participants have been presented a range of fun-filled activities at the event. The activities include local artist performances, photo booth, food trucks and car boot sale to enliven the event.

As part of MYNIC objective to promote active online lifestyle, all runners will also receive two .my domain names or F-Secure Anti-virus and other sponsored freebies.

It is meant to help improve Malaysian socio-economic status, particularly through .my ownership and designed to ensure development of the internet community identity and online businesses

Hasnul added, “This will encourage youth and entrepreneurs to be bolder in marketing their business online. The .my domain name is very useful for their branding and will make it easier for them to start their online activities”.

MYNIC is an agency under KKMM responsible in ensuring the development of domain name industry as part of ICT infrastructure in Malaysia.
