#MYNICCARES Bringing Joy to Elderly Home

Seri Kembangan, SELANGOR DARUL EHSAN, 21 January 2020 – In the spirit of giving and spreading the joy of Chinese New Year (CNY) to the less privileged, MYNIC Berhad ran a #MYNICCARES program.  This year, MYNIC went to Pusat Jagaan Orang Tua Wan Hing, Seri Kembangan. This annual festive season contribution was given out as part of MYNIC’s corporate social responsibility initiative to aid charitable organisations in carrying out their programmes and to ease their day-to-day operation costs.

Pusat Jagaan Orang Tua Wan Hing accommodates more than 30 senior residents. In the spirit of ‘Kemakmuran Bersama’, MYNIC took the opportunity to engage the elderly and help brighten and rejuvenate their enthusiam and joy for this CNY celebration

MYNIC was more delighted with the attendance of YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Menteri Kementerian Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM), YBhg. Datuk Hasnul Fadhly Hasan, Chief Executive Officer of MYNIC and the senior leadership of MYNIC team.

YBhg, Datuk Hasnul Fadhly Hasan, Chief Executive Officer of MYNIC said,” We are truly privileged to be given this opportunity to conduct a programme that  bring smiles and joy to these communities. As part of the spirit of ‘Kemakmuran Bersama’, #MYNICCARES is our way of bringing warmth and joy to the communities in need. Chinese New Year is a merry celebration of happiness, togetherness and of prosperity. This is what we are trying to deliver, through #MYNICCARES team presence today, to be part of the joy and happiness to the senior citizens who are always looking forward for someone to visit them”.

The event has been very meaningful as it helps in making a difference to that home. #MYNICCARES team worked together in cheering up the place by painting the house and cleaning up around the compound.  MYNIC also donated the electrical appliances and bedding worth RM10,000 to the home to improve the livelihood of the residents.

Datuk Hasnul added, “MYNIC is always seeking for opportunities to give back to the community. We are happy that our team are excited to volunteer and participate in this program.  It shows the spirit of togetherness and unity as we are all Malaysians”.

Thru this kind of program, it demonstrates that MYNIC is not only focused on business matters but is also concerned with matters of public welfare and well-being. More CSR initiatives will be executed by MYNIC throughout the year for the benefit of the communities.

Initiated in 2019, #MYNICCARES was designed to drive its social agenda in reaching out to, and helping the less fortunate and those in need.  As an agency under the KKMM, MYNIC is constantly taking the opportunity to contribute to the community not only through the enablement programs that bring offline business online, but also to contribute in humanitarian programs.  Internally, the programme aims to strengthen the culture and spirit  of volunteerism and encouraging charitable deeds.
